24 Hour Access Storage Units - Rapid City I-90

What is the term of your lease?

Our lease agreement is month to month. We require a 2-month payment upfront, the first month is prorated.

Is there a security deposit?

We do not require a security deposit but we do require you to pay 2 months’ rent up front plus a one-time, $15.00 administration fee.

When is rent due?

Rent is always due on, or before, the 1st of the month, for every tenant.

How to make payments?

  • You can make a payment with the rental office via phone, or in the office, during business hours. 
  • You can pay online at Foxdenstore-it.com. Learn how to create your online account here
  • You can pay with a check, or money order, by mail or dropbox. 
  • We also have an Automatic Payment option that you can set up online or with the rental office.

What forms of payment are accepted?

  • Any type of credit or debit card
  • Check or Money Order
  • NO CASH is accepted
     

How do I move out of my storage unit?

We require a 28-day, written notice to vacate. Your move out date will always be the last day of the month. Options for a written notice are an email, a note or a signed Intent to Vacate form. Leave your unit empty, clean, and unlocked. The lock you were provided during rental is yours to keep. Click here for Intent to Vacate form.  

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a 10% discount for military and law enforcement.

Do I need to bring my own lock?

No, we provide you with a brand-new, sealed disc lock that is yours to keep when you move out. You are welcome to use your own lock.

What do I do if I lose the key to my storage unit?

You can make an appointment with the office to get your lock cut. We charge a $35 fee that includes cutting of the lock and a new lock pack.

When can I access my unit?

Fox Den Store-It facilities are open for you to access your unit 24/7. The rental office has business hours.

Are there any prohibited items I cannot store?

Please do not store any food, perishable or nonperishable. Excessive amounts of combustible materials. Examples: paint, gas, oil, tires, firearms, ammunition.

Do the storage units have inside lights or electricity?

A majority of our units do not have lights or electricity. There are a select few units, in most buildings, that will have an outlet; these units have the electricity cost included in the monthly rent. Most units do not have indoor lights, only lights throughout the facility.

Can I get a refund?

Fox Den Store-It does not refund prepaid rent or prorate move outs.

Do you offer moving services or sell boxes/packing supplies?

We do not offer any moving services, boxes, or packing supplies.

Do you provide insurance?

Fox Den Store-It does not provide insurance. All tenants are responsible for insuring their belongings. 

What am I able to use my storage unit for?

Fox Den Store-It units are for storage only. You are not able to use the unit as a work space, living space, or to sell items.

Fox Den Store-It is located at 2810 Eglin St, Rapid City, SD 57703, conveniently situated off I-90 between Exits 60 and 61, next to Ace Steel and Recycling.

What are the office hours at Fox Den Store-It, Rapid City I-90?

The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on weekends.

The Rapid City office is covered remotely every Tuesday from 1 PM – 4 PM. Please call 605-791-5253 for assistance during that time. Tenants have 24-hour access to their storage units, while office staff is available on weekdays for support.

Yes, tenants have 24/7 access to their storage units, allowing you to retrieve or store items at any time.

How many storage unit sizes are available?

The facility offers over 400 units in 15 different sizes, ranging from 5×10 up to 12×50 feet. Select units include higher doors and electricity.

What is the cost of renting a storage unit at Fox Den Store-It, Rapid City I-90?

Rental rates start as low as $65 per month. All leases are month-to-month for maximum flexibility.

Are there any restrictions on what I can store?

Yes, please do not store food, combustible materials (like paint, gas, oil, or tires), firearms, or ammunition.

These restrictions keep the facility safe and clean for all tenants.

Do the units have electricity or lighting?

Electricity is available in select units. The facility also features motion-sensor LED lighting throughout for safety and visibility.

Can I run a business or live in the storage unit?

No, units are for storage only. Living or working inside the units is strictly prohibited.

What security features are in place at this facility?

The Rapid City I-90 location is equipped with:

  • 24-hour motion-sensor camera surveillance (recording facial and vehicle images)
  • Barbed-wire perimeter fencing
  • Electronic gate access with individual codes
  • Disc locks provided upon rental
  • Daily facility inspections and on-site management five days a week

Are vehicle and boat storage available?

Yes, we offer long-term storage for vehicles, boats, RVs, and motorcycles in a range of unit sizes.

How do I get started renting a unit?

Renting is easy!

  • All leases are month-to-month (renew on the 1st of each month).
  • A 1-time $15 administrative fee plus two months’ rent (first month prorated) is required at move-in.
  • No security deposit required.
  • Only 28 days’ written notice is needed to vacate.
  • A disc lock and keys are provided with each rental.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, and money orders.

We do not accept cash. Online payments are also available for convenience.
